The Preservation of Tiger Stadium

Letter from Joe Alleva

Dear Tiger Fan,

Prior to the 2010 football season we embarked on a campaign to raise funds to replace approximately 400 windows in the north end of Tiger Stadium, the beginning of a beautification project to enhance North Stadium Drive.

I am happy to report that our great fans have stepped up once again and all North End Zone windows have been purchased. It is clear that Tiger Stadium is important to LSU fans everywhere, and that was evident in the response to replace these windows.

As I have said many times before, Tiger Stadium is one of the most iconic venues in all of college sports, and it is has even more meaning for LSU fans around the world. The memories that have been created in Death Valley are precious ones and

it is vitally important that we maintain and enhance this 86-year-old home of the Tigers.

My thanks to the Tiger Athletic Foundation and the many great donors who helped us reach our financial goal for replacing the North End Zone windows. There is still much to be done to revitalize North Stadium Drive, but this is a very important beginning.

If you are interested in learning more about making donations to future projects, please contact the TAF Development Department at 225-578-4823 or log on to the TAF website at www.lsutaf.org or www.PreserveDeathValley.com.

Thanks, Tiger fans. Let's make sure Tiger Stadium lasts for many more great memories.

Geaux Tigers!
